Green tea is a natural histamine antagonist. So drinking one to two cups everyday in the morning with honey is effective in reducing cold.
Ensure the honey should be local honey or natural sources honey so that when it is added to teas it is effective in reducing the allergy effects.
Take one to two cups of chamomile tea everyday with honey reduces the running nose and sore throat. First boil the tea and then add honey. It works as a remedy or medicine and as a sweetener.
Crushed ginger and add it to a cup of boiling water. Mix honey as a sweetener and as a medicine as it is an antihistamine and a decongestant. Adding ginger with fresh salads and eating with lunch or dinner, it is provided you like the taste of it.

Turmeric powder should be mixed in warm milk with very small amount of sugar or honey as sweetener. This should be had twice or thrice in a day to relief from sinus, cold and sore throat.
